More Networking :\

Today we did even more networking. We learned the devices for each layer of the OSI. For physical there are the repeater and the hub. They are what make a weak signal stronger but they aren't too good because there is a lot collisions. For the Data Link layer, it is the bridge and the switch. These things make sure that only what is needed, gets through. The bridge isn't too good because it denies a lot of stuff, but the switch has multiple ports and a lot of collision domains so there is less of a chance for collisions. The Network level's device is a router. This is the best one. It is a big thing that routes data packets. They are really expensive though. See I am getting better. I understand it a little more.

Alright so today we stopped doing Flash! It was only replaced by another nightmare. We are now doing networking. So first we watched a video which tried to make it seem cool and relate it to cars or something, but that didn't work. I am still tremendously confused about the whole thing. Then Mrs. Rod explained it sort of so I am going to try my best. So basically the it sends the information. When your computer receives it, it gets sent to the router, wheres its packaged up and sent to the internet. Alright, I am pretty sure that is how it kind of works. There will be clarity in future posts. And I guess I am ready for the awful week this is going to be.

More Flash

This week in Flash we made eyes blink, and an ocean scene. The eyes blinking were not too much of a problem, it was actually kind of cool. It only became problematic when I had to color the background and make the eyes white. The paint bucket tool decided to be a jerk and not work so I had to color with the paint brush. The ocean scene was a problem. Much of it causes many difficulties. It would have been an awful day but Pat decided to blast amazing music, like My Humps, and Lets Go To The Mall.

Flash

Alright, now that we've finished Photoshop, we have moved onto Flash. Flash is much more annoying than photoshop because nothing works as it should. It is a lot harder to work but I guess that comes with practice. First we had to make three pictures appear and add text. Today and yesterday's project was to advertise for a water company. We had to draw a cup of water, make bubbles in the water move, make waves we made move, add snow, and add a text. This was time consuming especially because of the mistakes.

No More Photoshop

Today was the last day of photoshop. We designed a box for the present we most wanted. I made one for an Xbox. We had to put a sale sticker on it, add text, add a picture, and a log. The box was tilted so we had to set up a vanishing point and that got tricky and annoying. Things had to be precise or it wouldn't look right. Tomorrow we are starting flash. EHHERMAGERF
